KEY FEATURES

Automatic DCT
Strong internals, smooth shift mapping, excellent control, true compression-braking capability in steep terrain and an automatic program that upshifts and downshifts while you concentrate on riding—the Honda automatic dual-clutch transmission has it all, including a low range transmission—a Honda exclusive in the IRS models (TRX520FA6) You can also manual shift over-ride while in Auto and the shift mapping has been optimised for the new TRX520 with DCT.

Digital instruments
In addition to the basics, the TRX520s instrument panel offers extra information: a clock, water temperature gauge, our “maintenance minder” system and indicator for the electronic differential lock.

Powerful 518cc engine
The 2020 TRX520s features a new, larger 518cc engine with more horsepower and torque for better overall performance. This increased power gives the TRX520s better hill-climbing ability than previous 500 models. Bottom line: We took our best hard-working ATV and made it even stronger and tougher! By orienting the crankshaft front to back in the chassis in our ATV and side-by-side engines, we route the flow of power straight to the wheels without any unnecessary right-angle detours, reducing powertrain friction and putting more grunt to the ground.

Electronic reverse
Available on the TRX520FA6, this single lever is a big improvement when it comes to convenience and ease of operation. It’s especially useful when you have to shift from forward to reverse repeatedly, like when you’re out working the land.

Wider front driveshaft guards
Designed to add even more coverage to the TRX420’s front axles and outboard CV joints, the new guards are another example of how Honda engineers strive to constantly keep improving one of the best ATVs on the planet.

Manual
Opt for a rugged conventional-type manual ATV gearbox, where you get 100% control over the unit. The manual gear box in the Honda TRXs uses a simple design and offers proven technology for peace of mind.

Independent rear suspension
The Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on the TRX520FA6 and TRX520FM6 has over 215mm of travel and 244mm of clearance. That returns two big benefits: first, it helps ensure constant tyre contact with the ground for superior traction; second, it gives you a smooth ride over rough terrain, helping fatigue, especially after a long day of work.

Electronic power steering
Both speed- and torque-sensitive, Honda’s Electric Power Steering, (available on all 3 TRX520 models) excels at reducing steering effort and kickback through the handlebar. It’s a big help when riding in ruts, over rocks or on long side hills.

Swingarm rear suspension
The rear swingarm on the TRX520FM2 with its solid axle, provides superior capability for towing and hauling. Its long suspension stroke and plush seat let you tackle your toughest chores in comfort all day long.

TraxLok® selectable 2WD-4WD
Our rock-solid TraxLok system lets you select either 2WD or 4WD, giving you the freedom to choose between lighter steering (in 2WD) and maximizing available traction (in 4WD) when you need it most. When you’re in 4WD mode and you need to get the power to both front wheels, just flip the switch on the electronic differential lock to maximize available traction. The vehicle display will tell you when the diff lock is fully engaged.

Assist headlight
We’re talking about the TRX520’s third headlight here—the one that turns with the handlebar. We’ve upped the power for 2020 to 50 watts and updated the styling too.

Front storage
1.9 Litre storage box, the perfect size for small items you want to access quickly—like a phone, GPS or a spare pair of gloves.

Rear storage
Again, another area to store items you might need while out in the paddock or on a remote property at work.

Rugged front and rear cargo racks
The racks on the TRX520s feature strong, steel construction and now they include a larger flat area. Better yet, they’re designed to integrate with our new Honda Pro-Connect™ system. You can quickly attach and detach accessories like our cargo boxes, without tools, for added flexibility and convenience.
